WHITE HERON'S STUDENT COMPANY
SUMMER ASSISTANTSHIP PROGRAM
TUITION: $2000 - payment plans and tuition assistance available
DATES: Contact Jimmy Calitri - Creative Director at jimmy@whiteherontheatre.org to discuss specific schedules and program dates.
At White Heron, we know not all students are interested in pursuing the crafts of acting or musical theatre, so now our education department is offering additional behind the scenes experiences and training.
Through our Summer Assistantship program, students who are passionate about the creative and technical side of theatre production can immerse themselves in a summer of study and hands-on practical experience.
Available Assistantships
STUDENT ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (SAD)
Mentor: Director - Jimmy Calitri

White Heron’s directing team - educations is accepting 2 SADs. These students must either be available for both July & August or all of July or all of August - there is some room for negotiation and conflicts. Student ADs would be expected to be at all rehearsals and occasional production meetings. ADs will work closely with the practical Intensive Director and Assistant Director, learning the art of stage direction and composition, games, techniques, and exercises to help actors release and connect to the material, in addition to the importance of creating effective rehearsal schedules and daily preparation. Most importantly, SADs will learn the art of collaboration within a production team.

White Heron’s education Stage Manager is accepting 2 student SASM for the summer season. The ideal student will be available early July through Mid-August - however, there is some room for negotiation and conflicts.
